Along the right side or bottom (depending on how wide your browser screen is) you will see your image in a rainbow of different color options. I chose black and white, and I recommend you do the same. There are different ways to do this depending on your device. The first thing you will need to do is choose an image that works for a Spiral Betty design. After a lot of experimenting, I have discovered you need a simple high contrast image without a lot of small detail otherwise it will not translate well into a Spiral Betty. Close ups of faces (human or animal) have worked the best for me.

Don’t worry, this step is actually very easy, even if you are not tech savvy. Once you upload it, you can resize it and move it around until you have your image centered the way you want and then hit the check mark. After you are happy with your design, you will save your design as a jpeg and then upload it to Design Space. Grab your weeding tool and pull up the corner of the vinyl and slowly start to pull away from the carrier sheet.

Also, this was actually our female editor’s first set of bibs, and after falling in love with Betty Designs’ bib shorts she may never go back! There was never a time where we felt the need to readjust or pull and tug to get a piece of clothing back into place. Launched in the fall of 2010 by Kristin Mayer, Betty Designs offers sports and swimwear pieces with bold designs for the endurance athlete. A mom, athlete, and freelance graphic designer, Kristin created Betty Designs with the goal of bringing something different to women’s triathlon and cycling clothing. And after one glance at Kristin’s killer gear we’re sure you’ll agree that she’s accomplished just that.

Whether designing a space around existing artwork or securing new pieces for her clients, art is at the center of her design approach. In support of this aim, she offers direct artist representation for works that reveal concepts in modern, non-representational thought through the use of formal elements. This allows these contemporaries to display their art in an environment that fosters a direct corresponding relationship, giving transcendence to the entire collection. Answers to Your Questions About How to Make a Spiral Betty Photo Design
Just drag the slider under the circle to zoom in or out and click and hold on the image to move it around. A "Spiral Betty" is a really cool way to add some pizzaz to your favorite photo! In this tutorial I'm going to show you how to make your own Spiral Betty work of art using Cricut Design Space. Founded by Kristin Mayer, a triathlete, mother, and graphic designer, Betty Designs was launched in 2010 to bring something different to women’s triathlon and cycling clothing. Mayer wanted to marry her love for fashion and surf culture with that of bold, edgy designs for endurance athletes. I design swimsuits for all types of athletes, whether you love the black line, open water or all kinds of water / beach sports.

This all depends on what you are going to put your cut image on. I'm putting mine on a 12" x 12" canvas and I want it to take up most of the surface of the canvas, so mine is sized at 11.5" x 11.5". Once you have yours at the right size click "Make It." On the next screen simply click anywhere outside of the image (the white space) to remove the background which will make it transparent. Depending on your image, you may need to click multiple times on white sections.
AN ALL BLACK FIT + A WATCH = ELEVATED + TIMELESS
I ordered via email through the always helpful Davide.I got 2 x M15 in the Mistral design and they look every bit as good as the pictures on the website. The new CA45 body is ready to hit the track and win, designed and built to amaze you every time. Looks aside, this kit was unbelievably comfortable.
Traditional swimmers love a good one piece, so I suggest our sexy back style for a sleek look + high performance in the pool. Personally, it's not my favorite fit as I happen to be super flat chested + feel like a total boy in one, so I opt for my two-piece. If you're like me and prefer a bikini style, my designs are not too big in the bottom, but remain age appropriate for women into their 70s! I love both racerback + crossback triangle tops, so you know I had to offer both in the line. The classic triangle does it all, giving you a swimsuit you can swim, paddle, play volleyball in or just soak up the sun and chill.
I started to peel it up from the corner, then used scissors to cut a small slice on the side so I could peel it up in sections. Make sure it's centered and there's enough space on the top, bottom and sides before you smooth it down. You may be able to pull it back up if it's not lined up just right, but be careful not to tear the vinyl. When you start pulling up the vinyl, make sure to start from the far outside of the spiral. On the next screen you will select the image you just uploaded, a green outline will appear around the image, and click on the green "Insert Images" button on the bottom the right. Once your image is uploaded you can resize and move it around to get it right where you want it.
Please share a photo in our Facebook group or tag me on social media with #jennifermaker. Once you have a Spiral Betty design, what do you do with it? Most people seem most interested in cutting the designs from vinyl, so that’s what we’ll do in this tutorial, but just know that you could also print it or cut it from paper. I used black premium vinyl because I plan to put it on a white canvas and I really like the color contrast with the black and white. Once you have your image, you need to upload your photo to the Spiral Betty website.
When we first discovered Betty Designs we knew we had to experience the pink Betty kit. The super bright colors and eye-catching graphics were unlike anything we’d ever seen before. While Betty Designs is well known for its women specific gear (we only tested the women’s kit here), it does also offer an equally awesome men’s line of triathlon and cycling clothing as well. Once you have it where you want it, press it firmly on the canvas starting in the center and working your way out. Now you will want to apply a piece of transfer tape large enough to cover your design.
